Stand Against Legalized Terrorism

When lethal force becomes routine, justified after the fact, and insulated from accountability, it becomes terror with legal cover.

We do not advocate violence. We resist it.

Document everything. Don't engage. Your camera is more powerful than your voice in the moment.

  • Record from a safe distance
  • Note badge numbers, vehicle numbers, timestamps
  • Back up footage to cloud immediately
  • Do not delete anything, even if it seems unimportant
  • Contact a legal observer network if you witness an incident

Names. Dates. Footage. Paper trails. We don't forget because the system is counting on it.

  • Submit documentation to The Record
  • File FOIA requests for body camera footage
  • Track investigation status
  • Connect incidents to patterns across jurisdictions
  • Preserve everything — screenshots, links, documents

Organized. Nonviolent. Relentless. We build what they can't burn down fast enough.

  • Join or start a local accountability group
  • Attend oversight meetings
  • Support legal defense funds
  • Practice mutual aid
  • Contest every uncontested seat of power
"I thought it couldn't happen here." "No one is coming to save us." "We have to be our own witnesses." "The silence is complicity." "Every day we wait, it gets worse." "I thought it couldn't happen here." "No one is coming to save us." "We have to be our own witnesses." "The silence is complicity." "Every day we wait, it gets worse."

What We Believe

  1. 01 Lethal force should be the last resort, not the first response.
  2. 02 Every death at state hands demands transparent investigation.
  3. 03 Documentation is resistance. The record is power.
  4. 04 Nonviolence is strategy, not weakness.
  5. 05 Accountability requires sustained pressure, not momentary outrage.
  6. 06 Silence in the face of injustice is participation.

⚠ YOUR VOTE IS UNDER ATTACK

The SAVE Act passed the House 220–208. It would require a passport or birth certificate to register to vote — blocking 21 million eligible citizens. In Kansas, a similar law blocked 12% of voters while “solving” a 0.002% problem.

This is straight from the autocrat’s playbook: don’t abolish elections, just make sure your opponents can’t vote.

🎥 Action Is The Antidote

Edward Norton on why action — not doomscrolling — is how you fight anxiety and defend democracy.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert — Extended Interview

From “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry” — Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass (1856)

Flood-tide below me! I see you face to face!
Crowds of men and women attired in the usual costumes, how curious you are to me!
And you that shall cross from shore to shore years hence are more to me,
and more in my meditations, than you might suppose.

It avails not, time nor place — distance avails not,
I am with you, you men and women of a generation,
or ever so many generations hence,
Just as you feel when you look on the river and sky, so I felt,
Just as any of you is one of a living crowd, I was one of a crowd.

It is not upon you alone the dark patches fall,
The dark threw its patches down upon me also.

Great or small, you furnish your parts toward the soul.

Silence Is Permission.

Every moment of inaction extends the status quo. The time to act is not later. It is now.
